I’ll be fishing it for the first time tomorrow…does anyone know of any obvious hazards to speak of? Or how the floater situation might be out there with all the rising water? I just want to make it back in one piece regardless.

I have a lakemaster chip - but to my knowledge it is not on there yet. I’ve heard of Navionics possibly having the lake mapped…but I don’t have that (not even sure if Navionics is compatible with Humminbird?)

I appreciate yall in advance!

Ben, good to see you on here. I lost all your PM's on the purge. In regards to the lake, you should be fine running throughout the lake, even in the creek arms although my buddy and I slowed and idled to be safe. Basically there are just tree tops that you will run through in the creek arms. Now in a few years when those are stumps, it will be a different ballgame. The map did not show up on my buddies Garmin and I did an update recently on mine and the alke still did not show up.

Have blast it's a really fun lake. PM with any questions.

Be looking for floaters. A ton of tree tops broke off in the storms. Lakemaster is useless but Navionics+ has the lake mapped at 15' low. That plus satellite overlay helps. Bite has really slowed after being pounded on hard for two months.

SIL and I fished it for the first time on a random Thursday two weeks ago. Bite was pretty good, all fish basically the same size with a few bigger ones mixed in and most had terrible looking mouths from all of the hook marks. An observation, pretty new park, nice new pit toilets, why do people poop all over the seat and leave it? Good grief people have some courtesy and clean up after your own Pabst splats. Pretty little lake and some of the lake lots will be beautiful!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

It can happen. I know a guy who spent $4000 after hitting a stump on Limestone….and it’s been there a long time.

Went two weeks ago for three days 30 mph wind whole time . First day and a half was slow until we found them.
We had a blast. Think I used every bag of worms I had in the boat.

I think part of the issue there is it’s so flooded now the bass get wise and get into spots where you can’t get to them. That is the smart ones do

After the latest overnight rain my brother and I checked out the north ramp yesterday 2nd half of the day until dark in the kayaks. Maybe 10-15 trailers at the most all afternoon, water up 2.5 ft over pool and ramp walkways slightly under water. Explored a whole lot but only found two small areas where we caught fish. Fun day but not a lot of bass. fish

Heard the fishing has been super tough as of recently and most of the people have stopped going.

You know fishing is good when you ask a question not related to the bite, and yet guys chime in about the bite...
