TON of baitfish in the water right now. Shad spawning too? Little bitty things that will make for a bunch of full fish bellies later in the year. Water is life and the lake seems very vibrant

Story of my life. Seems like a majority of the time we would catch 40 or so, and would be lucky to clean 10.

I think my biggest numbers day was 120-140. Doubles on jigs till my fingers were rubbed raw. But maybe only 10 keepers. 9" fish out the wazoo. Sure was fun

Ray roberts has ALWAYS been a dink fest. Even 10-15 years ago. Go somewhere else if you want bigger fish.

Lots of baitfish for sure! My key for trips lately had been to find piles that come way up off the bottom. With the lake high, I see this a lot. Most of the piles are too deep but they get around a limb in the 20-30 ft range and load up on it. Certain places would have better fish on them consistently. We even caught several nice fish 30-35 ft deep over 44 ft believe it or not.
