I was able to get my neighbor out on Tawakoni with me! It was a much needed fun trip! We started out on top of some nice hybrids! Dropped a live bait and held on! We got his 5 quick! Birds were going crazy so we reeled up and chased some schooling fish! Lots of pressure so we went to another area and landed on more schooling fish! Had 46 in the cooler by 8am! Ran across the lake and finished up our sand bass limit! Ran around the lake checking structure. We caught them on most points with jigging slabs and bo-blades! Overall it was a hard to beat day! Better then we did. We got on them kinda of late. Fish were near the dam boat ramp but we messed around at Holiday humps for too long. Hybrids wanted gizzard shad but my first mate threw a bunch back. Def keep the 3-4โ gizzard Shad lol! Some days size doesnโt matter. But Iโm way more confident in a 3โ+ Shad for hybrids. Those little 2โ threadfins will catch a few hybrids and a ton of sand bass.
