I double checked all my connections and they seemed tight. No kinks or cut in transducer wire. It would keep switching views, reading wrong depths, not read at all at times or the display screen rocking back and forth extremely bad. Have had for a year and this is the first time I have ever seen this. I can not get the video to load but here here afew pics from video showing the rocking….[Linked Image]

The rocking is a known issue.

1st update to latest software.

Then;

Try starting a calibration, you don’t even have to finish the calibration.

Switch views, instead of forward, switch it to regular sonar, then back to forward.

Power off then back on.

If none of this works, call CS.

Latest update, calibrate the compass. Turning off the AHRS may also help resolve the issue.

Check your voltage to the unit. If you have a battery that is suspect it will do some false bottom readings and some returns that look like waves of colors expspecialy if it's in auto mode

Thank you-has not been updated since I bought it. Will give that a go and recalibrate. Will also check the voltage but it is on its own lithium battery source.

Last time my FFS started rocking and losing bottom it was because I ripped the transducer off of the trolling motor when I hit a tree. roflmao

Mine did that also, I powered it off and when it came back on it was resolved. Happened twice in the last month, always after I move spots and redeploy.

If none of that works, it may be because the FFS units are starting to feel guilty of making catching fish much easier...just a thought..lol.

Turn the AHRS off and set the pitch angle so the bottom is flat and you should be good to go!

This. Had to do it to mine last year. Haven't had a problem since. I do occasionally get a glitch where it loses bottom but I just restart it.
