Cool, now option it out to be similar as to what comes with the Z520R, ZXR21, etc. The costs are very similar…

I put the cup package on it- two graphs and a spot lock troller and it rings up 69k. If you don’t want to buy that fine, no reason to bash it.

If you delete electronics and trolling motor from Ranger and equip it exactly as a ZXR20 with a hyd plate and cover added, include $2K for installation and graph mounts etc, you are at about $2-2.5K less than a ZXR20.

Both Boats: 250Hp, Hydraulic Jack Plate, Cover, Helix 9 at bow and Helix 12 at console, dual 8 ft Raptor Anchors. Dependent on what you want it's a wash. Xpress or Gator Trax in same type boat will be well into the 80's. '24 X21 Pro which is similarly equiped, only has 24v trolling motor and 10" Helixs bow and console is $82K or so.

Skeeter is probably not the best boat built today. But, as Skeeter dealer told me recently, they have the best glass boat, out the door for the money with the ZXR.

Honestly the cost of tin boats have gotten as dumb as glass boats. If I am spending $70K+ on a tin boat it will be a custom built one from a couple of builders who build really high quality and durable tin boats.

What's dumb, is constantly bashing tin boat prices and having no intentions of buying one. People have choices and can make their own decisions.

Dual console, Lowrance Ghost wit 2 Elite 9’s , power poles, tandem axle trailer, hot foot and blinker trim. $84k. Here’s where it’s a frigging joke. Over $4k for tandem axle trailer which should be standard as the hull weighs over 1900#. No 36v tm or battery charger option. Biggest graphs are only 9” and Elite FS at that, can’t even add Active Target with those things as their 4 generations old. Power Poles are only sportsmen’s not blades. Dual console is over $1700, almost double the costs of a glass boat option. Thing costs more than a ZRX20 similarly equipped.

What’s dumb is it costs as much as a similar glass boat and offers zero advantage

It comes with a tandem trailer, the $4K upgrade is for a fully aluminum trailer. A lot better options for a custom build on a tin boat available that are a lot more durable and you can actually design what you need or want for less money.

Down side for anyone that fishes any open water lakes that get rough, all cookie cutter factory aluminum boats will eventually leak and need repairs. Tin boats are better utilized in rivers, smaller lakes, back waters and swampy areas. Exceptions may be the yankee options like a Lund. I think they are a little more durable. I have never been in one, so do not really know.

Ok knock off the aluminum trailer and you’re still at $80K. And as far as tin boats leaking you’re correct. It’s not a matter of if but when. They flex and over time weaken the welds.
