Got on the trout pretty good with our group this week. Limits of 18 to 20” fish. In one spot I never moved for a hour and caught a 15” to 22” trout and 90% of my casts. When you got the bait back in and it wasn’t bit it was “what just happened”. The Coastal Brew Baits by Colton Blackwell are super legit. Colton’s one of the top sticks on the Texas Coast. The baits have a super great action and colors that work. The La delta is an awesome place to fish. I recall one trip out of Delacroix , We caught a four man limit ( 100 trout) in one spot by 9:30 am.

We're heading to Venice on Thursday. Going to be there until next Tuesday. I guess the offshore fishing may be iffy with the wind and weather. I sure hope not.

We did the same thing at Breton Islands many years ago. Five fisherman, 125 trout in an hour. We had a conga line going around and round the boat from the front to the back. Every fish seemed to be a clone of the other.
