Hello,
We have a family trip planned for Crystal Beach in a couple of weeks. Any current tips for that area? I have not fished it in ten plus years. I will be wade fishing and surf fishing.

Wade / shore - Google Maps "Broken Bridge" or 'Bolivar Flats", "Yacht Basin Road"
Kayak - Launch from Stingaree ramp and fish the marsh directly in front of the ramp
Boat - Google maps for Yates bayou, Big pasture bayou and all the shoreline in-between.
Surf - Pretty much anywhere there isn't people.
Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he'll buy a funny hat. Talk to a hungry man about fish, and you're a consultant - Scott Adams

Wade the beach front if water isn’t trashy dirty. Get out early. Start out shallow. Quickly work deeper if nothing bites. 1/4oz jighead and a few soft plastics should be all you need. Darker the water the darker the bait. Clearer, then go lighter.
