I was just turned onto this site a few months ago.....it's awesome.
Do they ever run sales or deals? I have some stuff I want to order but I'm in no hurry to get it.....and some is out of stock on their site at this time.

I have never seen a sale on reels, now I have seen it where the dollar was strong/weak and it immensely changed the price, since they use the Japanese yen. I can imagine with the way the economy is now, our dollar is as weak as a mofo and reels probably cost quite a bit more than they used too.

They just blew out some discontinued Shimanos for 40% off and if the US dollar is weak then the Yen is even weaker. I just ordered another Metanium the other day. It was $235, two years ago they were around $280ish and have had a price increase since. Also create an account as they once in a while send discount codes and you get points on every purchase to used towards future purchases.

Seems like mixed reviews on it.

Their reels seem like a good deal, I know some of the names are different.....does anyone know if any of their Abu casting reels are the same as the Revo STX? None of the descriptions or pics looked exactly the same but..

Seems like mixed reviews on it. I almost ordered one but still on the fence about DC reels. I do have 2 Antares MD DC reels that I use on glide baits, swim baits, and a-rigs. Probably a bit overkill but you can sling them as far as you want without your thumb on the reel and no backlash or overrun. On the regular sized reels such as the metanium, curado, and SLX they actually don't cast as far but do help if throwing in the wind or not paying attention with your thumb.

The Curado is an example, its made in Maylasia not Japan so not sold on there.

Yes I've seen sales all the time. Mostly discontinued product. But hey, it's hard to bet their regular pricing.

I ordered my kid a couple scorpion dc’s to try, I’m kinda “meh” on them also. Very cool looking, but that zzeeeeeeeeee drives me a little more more nuts than I already am.

I found that if I select Japanese Yen for my pricing and get charged in Yen I get a better exchange rate. If you use a card that doesn't charge for foreign exchange fees (Amex Platinum and some of the AA Citi cards and I'm sure others) you can get max savings. Shipping is fast and very reliable. They have good pricing on hooks as well....especially odd specialty hooks like weighted swimbaits hooks with moveable weights on the hook belly....

They're currently out of stock though, but when they get back in stock I'll have an order for sure.

If you order a reel, you can get terminal tackle, lures, and line shipped free as well. Reels will not have U.S. warranty if that matters to you. No tax. Their shipping is extremely fast and reliable. Most items I have ordered have been delivered in less than a week. Their exchange rate will let you know how it's trending that day. Paypal or CC exchange rate is what you are really going to pay. Paypal and most CC's charge a small conversion fee.
