How dare the fatality accident investigator called out in the middle of the night working a death scene in the rain, not know a golfer has special privilege to drive into oncoming traffic around said fatality. So would you normally try to tackle the car that says PGA CHAMPIONSHIP down the side of it? I’m just offering a different perspective and also pointing out that In that situation you have no Idea who is driving toward you.

looks like there is some fault on both sides..and ..lot of confusion about what to do on both sides...best thing to do is both sides to apologize and put the matter to rest....

looks like there is some fault on both sides..and ..lot of confusion about what to do on both sides...best thing to do is both sides to apologize and put the matter to rest.... I do not see that happening. It is a no-win for everyone. The City, the police force, the PGA and Scottie. Some media magic needs to happen to make this go away, especially if Scottie wins.

Unfortunately people try to drive right through them all the time. one report said a police offiicer motioned him to drive through and he was pulling through when the other officer ran over and grabbed his door handle.....as mentioned,everyone said this was a confusing situation but when a police officer motions you to pull through,that's what you do...plus it was raining,the other officer problably had a rainsuit on and driver never recognized him as an office.....again,everyone needs to realize there was confusion on both sides,quit blaming people and realize it was just an unfortunate accident and consequences....

The District Attorney will drop it, Scottie will donate 100k to the local boys and girls club, the cop will get some desk time for being silly and the other police he works with will jack with him forever. That is the reasonable end to this matter.

I wonder if there were officer cameras going.
I read where he did not stop when asked and drove another 10 yards after an officer had grabbed onto a car. At slow speed 10 yards is a long way.
What I see is an important sports figure who had golf on his mind and thought he could get special access. I'll wait to see if there are cameras that show more. At this point it sounds like he didn't follow instructions well after he was asked to stop and injured an officer as a result.
