Is Overlook Park open at Cypress? It was closed at one time back.

The whole lake was shut down due to high water.

The lake is open. Overlook may still be closed due to the massive renovation they are doing to it.

Wardens were on the lake checking a boat last Friday afternoon when I crossed over the bridge. I had never seen them on there but seldom on it - usually driving across it.

The wardens are out there a lot doing safety checks. Every warden in our area is a great guy.

I have been checked more times on Cypress Springs and Sandlin than all other lakes combined...at least five times as many.

I was once checked 3 times in one day on Cypress. The third time, I actually asked if he wanted to just follow me around and check a few more times... roflmao

He had no idea he had checked me less than an hour previously in a different area of the lake.

Yeah, Cypress has active lake patrol. Especially active weekends and holidays.

Hell I got checked 3 times in the same afternoon on cooper and there was only 2 boats on the lake. Watched him go back and forth between the 2 of us. I politely asked said warden why he was over here since he was relocated after a little deer poaching incident. He never checked me after that.

overlook was only closed a couple weeks after they cut down all the trees and sold them for profits. crooked FCWD traitors. Be glad there is lake patrol and wardens on Cypress or there would be a lot of accidents. lots of idiots from dallas go there with no boating knowledge

Got a ticket on Cypress about 4yrs ago because I couldn't find the green registration card, even tho the boat was registered.. Found the card a little while later and went to the wardens to show them. They said to show it to the judge and it would be dismissed.. I don't really understand that law!

Ronnie, thanks for answering my question. I thought that was correct and it was just closed temporarily.
Also you are very right about the boating knowledge on that lake. Seems money and common sense donโ€™t mix.
