I am back guiding for the summer! What a difference from last year. Lots of rain this spring has led me to having to guide different lakes than usual.

Saturday I had out Junior and Adam out on Ray Roberts and found a pretty good post spawn bite on cover anywhere from 12-30 ft. The sweet zone seemed to be vertical cover in that 15-20 ft range. We used minnows and got a decent mess for the day! The weather could not have been better!

If you are interested in booking a trip, shoot me a message or email (anthonyruyle@gmmail.com) as my website it down at the moment! The rest of the month and first full week in June are booked but I do not lots of availability from then on. June should get some other lakes doing better as they draw the water down and the fish pull out deep!

I am offering updated lake breakdowns this summer as well! 150$ for Lake Ray Roberts, Cedar Creek lake, Joe Pool lake, Lewisville lake and Texoma. I have increased the waypoints on these this year. Shoot me a message or email for details!

I hope to see everyone on the water this year!

-Anthony

A couple weeks ago, I had out Scott down on Cedar Creek lake! He picked up dock shooting very fast! He fished some brush as well in 15-25 ft and picked up some there too. Docks in 8-15 ft seemed to have the best numbers and you would get 5 or so a dock before we had to move. Lots of solid 12-14 inch fish! All were caught on my jigs that I make.

Yesterday I had out Matt and his daughter on Ray Roberts! We had to make a long run to where we fished but it paid off. Had to weed through what seemed like 80 plus dinks in order to get the good mess of fish on the table you see. Caught fish from 12-30 ft or so. I really enjoyed the trip with them and they left with a solid bag of fresh fillets! Ray Roberts is fishing well but you have to weed through a lot of small fish to keep keepers but it makes for great action! All fish caught on minnows and BnM poles!

I will be running some more trips up there soon! All fish caught were ones that I go over on my lake breakdowns that I offer!

Shoot me an email at anthonyruyle@gmail.com for breakdown info or to book a guide trip. My website it down at the moment!

See y'all on the water!

Post Spawn bite is getting better and better by the day!
On Friday I had out Charlie on good ole Cedar Creek for a day of dock shooting!
We were met with with a very tough bite! Docks were loaded with fish but it seemed that you would get no more than 2-3 per dock. We just keep covering water with one here and one there till he had a decent mess to run a knife through. I messed up my back reaching for his first fish and was hurting pretty good the whole day. If you have ever been on CC, you know how bad a bad back is on that lake LOL

I had a great time with Charlie and he is always a pleasure to have out!

Saturday I had out Daniel and Terry on Ray Roberts and the bite was steady all day! Had 20 or so after the first spot and we just messed around picking off 3-5 per spot. We used minnows on BnM Sam's Super Sensitive rods on 16-30 ft on concrete, brush and timber! They easily threw back twice as many as they had keepers.

All fish were caught on locations that I go over in my lake breakdowns for each lake.

Shoot me an email if you are interested in a lake breakdown or to book a guide trip! I am booked out on weekends for about a month but have lots of weekdays open the first half of June and all weekends available after that. The bite should be good on the home lake then and we can get a mess of fish and be off the water before the triple digits set in!

Tight lines everyone! See you on the water!

This week was an interesting week to say the least!

2 Saturdays ago I had out Ryan on Ray Roberts! It turned into a full day trip due to storms popping up out of nowhere. We had to wait out the lighting for a solid 2 hours. We got on a good brushpile bite and he put his limit together and threw back an absolute ton of fish! I didn't take any pics because Ryan likes to take his fish home so I don't get tailgate pics. Had a blast with him and look forward to our next trip!

After my trip with Ryan, Ray Roberts closed all its ramps and had me scavenging for another place to run trips. I ended up getting on a good bite on the south side of the metro on a lake that is not closed and super flooded.

This week I had out Ray and Phil out on the south side and believe it or not, this was there first time ever crappie fishing! They went to work on submerged timber and we picked off a few here and there the whole afternoon! Fish were spooky and would leave the tree after we boated a few of them. Never had seen that outside of Fork.

I hopped in Dan's boat also this week on Grapevine to get his electronics dialed and mark brush piles for when the water goes back down. The lake was 18 ft high and pretty murky. This is the second highest level, I have seen grapevine. It is going to be a while before the water comes back down

All fish caught on minnows on 9 ft Sam's Super Sensitive rods by BnM!
My Flop box has been keeping our minnows nice and lively! Use code "Kidkrappie10" at checkout to save some money if you want to pick one up!

If anyone is interested, I have lots of dates available! We can get a cooler full and get off the water before the heats sets in! shoot me a message or an email anthonyruyle@gmail.com

I will be back on the Southside tomorrow with Guy Skinner!

Tight lines everyone!
