I am looking to purchase two to have one in each vehicle. I am curious if NOCO is worth the extra cost or not. The reviews seem mostly positive, but I am wondering if the extra $$ is actually worth it. I don't mind pay paying extra for this if the value is there. Any thoughts on the NOCO or other brands that are out there ? TIA

I’ve got one, NOCO or whatever they are called. I got a big one that’s supposed to start a diesel. Mine wouldn’t start my Tahoe the other day. I haven’t charged in a while, haven’t used it either. I think they work so some degree. I recall starting my tractor with mine when I first bought it. Whichever one you get, get way bigger than you need.

Thanks, Billy

I bought a NOCO on a Black Friday deal on Amazon. Haven't had to use it yet, so can't speak to "if it's worth it or not", but if you can hold out until BF this year you can save quite a bit.

I have a hulkman alpha 85. Works like a charm everytime. As a bonus it will run my grill too. My wife was one she bought on QVC. Works fine for her.

NOCO GB40 in the boat and GB70 in the truck for several years. Well worth it. The one in the boat has started several boats, cars, and trucks. They hold a charge well; I top them off a couple of times a year. Reliable, compact, and lightweight. I've had very good luck with NOCO, and I have a NOCO charger in my boat for the lithium house battery, as well as a remote NOCO dual bank for the lithium trolling motor batteries which aren't used very often.

I have a NOCO that sat unused in my boat for a couple of years. At the ramp a couple of weeks ago, my starting battery died, hooked up the NOCO and it fired the 200 Optimax right up. Had to use it again later in the day and again the motor fired up right away. Optimax don't turn over easy either, pretty high CCA rating. Easy to use, relatively small and easy to store.

Definitely check the ratings on the NOCO and make sure you get one with sufficient power to crank what you need.

We have 4 Noco jumpers at work. I don’t know what size they are, they aren’t big. We use them on about 5-6 cars each every day. Keep them plugged into a fast charger. Sometimes it will take two of them to jump off a really dead battery in a high compression engine. We also have four big, heavy SnapOn jumpers. They never get used. Everyone’s choice is always a Noco.

Just had to jump the wife’s car Thursday with our NOCO GB50, and BAM, fired her car right up!
We had a Hulkman 85 for awhile at the dealership and it worked Ok on the gassers but didn’t have quite enough power to handle jumping several diesels in a row every day.
The shop now has two NOCO GB 150’s charged and ready to go!
The GB 150’s are about $300.00/ea. eeks

This, although a buddy with a GB40 (rated for 6 liter gas and 3 liter diesel engines) has cranked his 7.3 PowerStroke with it easily. But better safe than sorry. If memory serves the GB40s go for about $100, and the GB70s for $200. I know several guys who keep GB40s on their boats. When I lived inland I kept the GB40 in my truck and put it in the boat when I went to the coast. But when I moved down here a couple of years ago I went ahead and got the GB70 so I could leave it in the truck and leave the GB40 in the boat.
