For anyone in S Texas, Lake Dunlap has hydrilla.

Good for fishing but for a lake that is 7 miles long and 450 acres, it won't take long for it to look like the back of Four Fingers.

Don't worry. With posts about it on TFF, it won't be long before TPWD or some "concerned" group eradicates it.

Be safe,

Unfortunately, the numbers aren't there any more. TP&W did stock 289 1-3 #'s about 3 weeks ago and are planning a fingerling stocking in June. In a few years, we will be better......

I’m sure plenty of canyon lake bass have been transplanted down there.

We've been catching a lot of 1-3lbs fish on Dunlap all spring. Just not many 4+.
Kinda like Choke. Good numbers no size.
Placid and McQueeney dam's are still not fixed.

The only dam that is repaired is Dunlap. All of the others are either under repair or will not be repaired. McQueeney and Placid should be finished fall of 2025. Meadow is still in the works. The others will not be repaired.

How is the repair at McQ being financed? With no public access, I hope it is being paid in full by private land owners with no help from tax dollers.
