Lake Tawakoni early Mornings have been hit or miss. Some schooling action happens with the shad spawn. Hybrids and White bass can be caught when seeing the splashing along the banks. Finding white bass on points and humps is happening but they move almost daily. I’m still cleaning white bass with eggs in them. However, most with eggs seem like they all but dropped. To catch these fish on structure, I’m using Bo-blades and 1oz chartreuse slabs. Bo-blades are catching the majority of the fish.

Sunday May 5th I ran an afternoon trip and it was by far the best I’ve had in a couple of weeks. We started at GPS about 3:15. We had 40 in the boat by 4:00. Bo-Blades caught all of these fish! We headed south checking points only catching a few on each spot. The wind died and we grinded out another 40 fish with throwbacks by 7pm. We cleaned 60 white bass and 2 hybrids. Overall it was a great trip! 75 degree water! I will start having live bait on the in case it’s needed. It’s going to be really good soon!
