This is my own variation using the blue hook and flash instead of green. I also used 7/32 real eyes instead of chain link eyes.

I think it will catch fish.

That's right, I'd forgotten about that.

Once, several years ago, I took my wife's oldest boy to Towne Lake to dunk minnows. We got into a big pod of crappie but they were all too small to keep. Still, it was a hoot to see the bobber dip

I've tied some black ants, brown and black bugs with hair and rubber legs, the blue crappie candy above, some clousers (several colors),and a few brown and green dragon fly jigs.

Hey TXCrappieFisher,
Do you fly fish for crappie during the summer? I usually fly fish for crappie in the winter in the creek, and in the spring in the shallows, but havent tried to target them in the summer. They're usually real deep, right?

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

I actually fish flys with ultralite rigs. Have not jumped in and bought a fly rod and reel yet.

Y'all should check this guy out. He writes LOTS of little stories about flyfishing for crappie and bluegill, and has some patterns that he uses with great success, according to him.
