A female crappie being a fractional spawner, will go in to spawn more than once. Does anyone know how long she will make trips in to spawn? Does she maybe make 2 trips in 8 to 10 hours, or maybe 48 hours? What if she makes 3 trips to lay all her eggs. Anyone know?? Thanks

I don't think anyone knows honestly. It depends on a lot of different factors of which some we are not aware of IMO

Unknown. Never read any articles giving any info on females spawning. Or heard anyone pontificate on how the process works with males or females. Most people think it's a single male building a nest and one female laying all the eggs at once. Not true with crappie. More of a community effort.

IMHO, it would be nice if we had a resident Texas Game and Fish Biologist on the forum. Thanks Daniel

They are all protesting in support of the free Palestine platform at UT of Austin. Far too important to waste any time here helping the people who provide funds for their paychecks.

Until we can sit down and interview a crappie, we won't know.
