I have only caught them when fishing for bass. I won't stop trying. Great catches. I guess now would be a good time to try live bluegill around log jams in the river?

Nice ones! Here on the Tennessee River they never went into winter mode this year. I caught more flatheads than blues this year.

Nice fish! Bait of choice?
These were the biggest so far, but we've caught several over the last few weeks. It's been about 75/25 live/cut. Cut has been big Shad, live has been Longear Sunfish and Bluegill. Been bound to this one hole, but I'm scooping a boat next week. There's no tellin' what's hangin' out in my other honey holes.
