We had planned on fishing Fri/Sat/Sun then had some engine issues Saturday, and had to call it early. I stuck a good one Friday morning on an old Gene Larew craw worm that was probably 7-8lbs. She came straight up out of 12' and spit it on the first jump. My buddy cashed a decent check on a green pumpkin chatterbait Saturday morning. But for the most part it was pretty tough. Congrats to those who scratched a check.

We cashed one decent check but mainly small fish. Heard rumors of a lot of sunken boats and broke equipment when that north wind picked up saturday. Also heard quite a few wrecks running in the dark. They really should bump the time to 7-3 and get some better daylight. All in all it was a pretty good weekend and for as many boats that were out there everybody was very courteous to others and good attitudes all around. Congrats to the winners

Did not cash a check, caught 70-75 in 3 days. Nothing over 3 lbs. Watched several boats hit bottom while running and 2 that actually came to an abrupt stop in less than a foot of water while trying to run where they had no clue. Only issues were sitting on a shallow point 100 yards off shore and people running between me and shore.

didn't cash a check, caught a 5.57 weighed on my scales on thursday, like said above about 25 a day nothing over 3.00, lost a pair of glasses, ran over a rod and reel, how i missed the other 3 is un imaginable, left my shampoo and soap in the shower, people trolling right where i was casting, on wed going to check in my boat glitched motor shut off, graphs shut off, and the low oil light came on, but she fired right off and nt another problem like that. all in all it was a great trip. i'll do it again next year, but it is nice to be home.

Oh, that makes me remember, we did see a boat that ran up on land running in the dark on friday. There was about 6 boats pulling him off. He almost made it over

All in all it was a pretty good weekend and for as many boats that were out there everybody was very courteous to others and good attitudes all around. Congrats to the winners The first one I fished was the 4th McDonald's way back when. I remember having a bad cold front move through with tornado's touching down on the NE side of the lake. IMO they should consider moving it back to after Mother's Day to lessen the chance of a strong front with severe weather and would also mean it gets safe light earlier. We were lucky that we were close to a large covered dock. Others who got there a few minutes later had to tie up on the bank got their boats sunk. When it was all over the dock got pushed off it's moorings by several feet and the end of the walkway was in about 3' of water, and that was on the protected side. Rayburn is probably the last lake you want to be on in Texas with a north wind. It seems like severe weather has affected quite of few of these McDonald's t's over the years. Glad nobody got killed.

I would like to see if there was an increase in business in local marine repair shops or increase in prop sales after the Big Bass Splash this year.
