They'd lose money on me... I'm not an impulse buyer... The wife use to give me a list. I'd go in and buy what's on the list and ge the hell out... I no longer have to go grocery shopping... Dan

We don't like Costco's roasted chicken - too fatty.

I use brookshires 7.99 rotisserie chicken as a jump start to something I'm cooking once a week minimum

I think it’s a loss leader. They can buy chicken pretty cheap but they buy big birds. It’s probably close to break even but it gets a LOT of people in the store.

Costco chickens are very tasty and well worth 5 bucks. Great to snack on, chicken salad, tortilla soup, etc. Bone them out, vacuum freeze. Good stuff!

We buy that at Sam's and bone them out and use them in different recipes.

They make it up on the chit you buy to go with it.

I have not eaten one out of the box in years

If I recall the ones from Sam’s taste the best. But Costco is closer. We buy them, heck I’ll eat just about anything, I like them. Wife likes to use those cooked chickens for soup and gumbo. I get to d bone them.

Thanks, Billy

^^^^Loss leader, that's it.

Yep, but I like them and there's always some good stuff in that part of the store.

Had a fishing buddy that was a grocery store manager. As ya'll have probably noticed, the milk and bread is always in the back, he said they do it for the same reason, get people to walk through the store and pick up some other stuff. Crafty devils they are.
