Stepped over this SOB and it bit my dog in the face when she came behind me. That’s flat side of shovel work, didn’t deserve a clean death. Mamma had to pull, literally,2 smaller dogs off this snake. First copperhead(I have seen) in 20 years at the casa.

Haven’t seen one at our place in 8yrs, friend told me the big cicada hatch may increase Copperhead sightings because they eat them. I gave her a Benadryl and then paid $200 for the vet to give her pain meds. I’ll be hunting them now versus them laying in wait.
