I was in Dublin, or maybe Edinburgh, in late 93 and was in a store and I heard Linger come across the radio.
I liked it. I told myself that if that song ever got to American radio it was going run up the charts to a possible number 1.
A few months later I heard it on radio here and I laughed as it ran up the charts.

Wow, he makes the break to falsetto flawlessly and the timbre of his voice while there is really close to the timbre in his normal range...
His intonation is really spot on as well... that doesn't mean as much these days with all the correction you can do in studio but still it is nice to hear singers that can nail the pitches.
