Saturday, I had the tree man over to cut down a couple of dead pine trees. The guy on the ground wasn’t paying attention to the guy up the tree who was cutting. Dude up the tree dropped a section of tree that was about 8 inches in diameter and about 7 feet long from about 60 feet up. The guy on the ground heard it coming and had time to run one step. The log grazed him from the back of his head all the way down his back. A few inches more and it would have crushed him into a mangled pile of broken bones and mush. They took him to the hospital but thankfully nothing was broken. I don’t ever want to see anything like that again. It was a few inches from being tragic

Guy on the ground might shoulda been a herd thinning victim. His job is to be on his game for the guy up in the tree and he didn't do it. Dummy !

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

I think its cool that anyone has pine trees that tall in their yard-

Glad the guy was ok-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Dangerous work for sure. Woke up one morning to a loud crash and the house shaking. 2 minutes later get a knock on the door to see if we were alright. Apparently the tree removal company hired to take down the neighbor's tree didn't place the jack properly and it slipped out and the tree fell the wrong way... right on our garage. Never want to experience that again. scared

I got rid of all mine in New Caney. They sound nice with the wind whispering through them, but they sure make it hard to have a lawn.

You don’t want a pine anywhere near your house.

Grew up with some monster pines in our front yard, good times during ice storms waiting for the tell tale snap
