Wings over cowtown is going on saturday and sunday at Carswell (yes, I know, but it will always be carswell to me). The blue angels will be performing. Get to see most of the show from my front yard. if you've never been it's a lot of fun! https://www.navymwrfortworth.com/event/airshow

The Thunderbirds performed here this past weekend. They had shows both on Saturday and Sunday. Huge crowd was at Randolph AFB for both shows. I have seen many over the years and all have been GREAT!

If you've never seen it, you need to. If you've seen it before, it doesn't get old to see it over and over again. I was fortunate to spend the majority of the training season watching the Thunderbirds fly around Vegas and it was awesome. Only saw the Blue Angles twice, but they too are spectacular.
I may be in the minority here, but one of my favorite parts of the Blue Angles show is watching Fat Albert (their C-130 cargo plane) go near 90 degree vertical with a JATO takeoff. Guess I have a soft spot for the big and heavies.

That is a cool looking airplane. A B-1B was the loudest I've ever heard. When they take off with a full military afterburn it will rattle your teeth.

Guess I have a soft spot for the big and heavies. Yep "Albert" Jato shot was awesome; unfortunately, due to lack of chemicals ie. Jato the Blues did away with it. Albert was upgraded a couple of years ago with some bad a** 4 blade turbo prop motors but it can't do what those multiple Jato bottles did.

Went when I was a kid and Albert caught the field on fire it delayed the show but the BA were cool as AF ...
