Thanks. As I recall, you fish Grapevine Lake a lot. Unless you are itching to come fish Cedar Creek Lake, I'd like to come let you show me where to catch white bass on Grapevine. I have never fished that lake. Not have I fished CC... We can do both. Will not be as good on GV, but I can happily show you the humps that are possible year round items to check. I'm pretty mad at the green fish, and tinker with the Sandbass when I'm taking a break. It's always good to chew the fat, even if it's piddling around the lake. We need to cross paths on each other's back yard for sure. My fishing mentor is a bass fishing professor and we have a great time on little old Grapevine. When you have an extra seat, give me some notice and I will put some gas in the boat. I still remember years ago instant messaging you for info, and still haven't ventures to CC. I'm going to talk to you soon "old Man", I'm looking Forward to visiting with you.

03/25/2024: Fished from 3 to 6:15 PM today with Cliffshot and Graham and caught 139 - all whites bass except for one catfish. We left fish still biting in four spots - the east side of Crappie Island Flats in 27 fow, Dam Ridge in 21 fow, Campbell's Hump in 18 fow, and Greenhouse Ridge in 29 fow. We caught fish mostly straight down using BoBlades, Hazy-eyed slabs, and Paul Bunyon's Lucky 66 spinners.

3/27/2024: Friends Larry C and Bob fished with me from 8:30 AM til 4:15 PM and we caught 201: 196 white bass, an 18 inch hybrid, 3 cats, and a drum. We started in Crappie Island Flats hoping for some bird action, but it didn't materialize. So, we began structure fishing. We caught some fish at Dam Ridge, Greenhouse Ridge, 60 Acre Hump, and finished at 3-Jug Hump where we caught most of our fish and left still catching. We use BoBlades, Mepps 4, and Hazy-eyed slabs. BoBlades did the best. Fish were still deep - in 20 to 28 fow. Here are some pics of today's trip: ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/672x504q70/923/c7fiP2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1165x538q70/922/DTk8mJ.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/672x504q70/922/XoF86K.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/233x504q70/922/wLfJdT.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/1165x538q70/924/r6EDuP.jpg)

4/4/2024: Fished with Paul G and Mike H from 1:30 to 4:30 PM, and after looking for an hour we finally found them in two spots: Greenhouse Ridge in 26 fow and 3-Jug Hump in 21 fow. We used BoBlades and Mepps #4 fishing vertically on the bottom. Here's Paul with nice sandy: ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/672x504q70/923/tguIxi.jpg)

5/1/2024 Found good concentrations of fish at Dam Ridge, Greenhouse Ridge, and Pitts Point. Could have caught all I wanted at each spot. They ranged from 22 fow to 30 fow. Caught them on chartreuse BoBlades, Mepps#4, and HeyBuds. Near the south end of Crappie Island Flats, I caught 6 hybrids (5 legal to 24 1/2 inches and a 17 inch one). ![[Linked Image]](https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/672x504q70/923/onGUkA.jpg) 5/2/2024 Went out with friend Graham and we caught 111 whites, 7 legal hybrids, 2 shorts, 12 yellow bass, and 3 cats. We went to the same spots as yesterday plus Long Ridge West. Used the same lures plus Hazy-eyed slabs.

Dennis, I know lots of rain has fallen since your Wednesday post. How is the lake today? Is it muddy or is it fishable?
I’m looking for a spot to fish tomorrow morning, Whitney and Waco (the two lakes I live by) are really muddy and full of debris with our flooding we have had.

Look at the bottom of Dennis's Wednesday post. He was out yesterday and posted this: "5/2/2024 Went out with friend Graham and we caught 111 whites, 7 legal hybrids, 2 shorts, 12 yellow bass, and 3 cats. We went to the same spots as yesterday plus Long Ridge West. Used the same lures plus Hazy-eyed slabs." Looks like Cedar Creek is still doing well.
