I think you can stick a fork in the run they have seen since 2017. Too many issues this year.
I have been telling people it doesn’t look good for them this year. That seems to be coming to roost. I think the best they see is third in the AL West. It’s only 9 games in but doesn’t look good.
It was a good run. Before that it got pretty bad. You could get all the free tickets you wanted to games. Leave two tickets under the wipers on your truck and when you came back there would be four…..lol. Traffic into and out of the game was light.

I am about as far from an Astros fan as you can get and I only wish you were right. It is way too early to make the statements you are making. Yes a slow start but there is a ton of baseball to be played. The Astros lineup is way too strong not to score more runs and good arms starting pitching and bullpen. Unfortunately they will most likely turn it around soon

The season is a long one and they can still make a run at the playoffs. Hopefully they can make some adjustments and can put together a nice winning streak. Got to admit that the Rangers are looking "MIGHTY GREAT"! Go Stros.

Unfortunately they will most likely turn it around soon I agree. The MLB season is a super marathon, not a sprint. The Stros have been too good for too long to simply fall off the face of the baseball earth. I think the Rangers have what it takes to win the West again but Houston will probably be in the playoffs again this year.

I would rather kiss a rattlesnake than root for the Astros, but they will right the ship and be alright.

Texans could win it all this year and minimize any Astros disappointment.

The 1914 Boston Braves started the season with a 12-28 record through 40 games, but still made the postseason and then went on to win the world series.

Astros always seem to start a little slow. If they still suk after 50 games then your probably right. Just can't understand what happened to the bullpen I thought they would be pretty solid. And the bats always seem to take a while to get going.

Probably the most ignorant sports take of the year so far....at least until football season starts! Literally like trying to analyze a football team's season after watching one game.

The Astros have won three games...a no-hitter and two one-hitters.

I don't think their run is over just yet but that door is closing. I don't know Espada well enough to know if he's the kind of coach that can get they out of their funk.
Maldonado couldn't hit a beach ball, but he was a vocal leader in the clubhouse, from what I've read. I don't know if Altuve or Bregman are they kind to call a team meeting.
They were terrible the years drafted Springer, Correa & Bregman. Being successful the last 7 years, and missing some draft picks from the cheating scandal, they farm system isn't nearly as strong as it was 5-7 years ago.
Payroll is already at record highs. Bregman is a free agent after this season. Tucker and Valdez after the '25 season. Verlander in '26 at his age 43 season.
Crane will have some big decisions coming his way. Did further in the pocket book or lower payroll, have some losing seasons and restock the farm.
Anyway, Go Rangers.
