 Question about Motor Guide Xi - 5 Keyfob

i asked this in the equipment forum but nobody could answer it. I thought I would see if anybody on this board knows the answer. I have an older Motor Guide Xi-5 trolling motor. I don't know for sure, but I i think it is a 2006 model. The remote that came with it is the old 5 button style keyfob. Keyfob Model 001009305
I need a new remote and I was wondering if I can use the new style keyfob with the spot lock function and screen, or will the motor only work with the old style 5 button remote?

The new remote should work but it will still just have the five buttons work that function.
