Wouldn't have post twice, but we all know it's dangerous.

I just don’t understand situations like that. How in the world can they not see what’s right in front of them. I’m always in fear when I’m out in my Kayak. I was fishing the bridge pylons one Saturday when all these Yahoos, fishing in a bass tourney, kept flying past me under the bridge doing 60mph to get to weigh-in. I don’t fish Saturdays or Sundays any more. Ugh! ! !

So glad y’all are alright.

Those big screen TVs mounted on the front, 12" units, block a lot of water when you're sitting low in a bass boat. See too many people riding with front seat in place and sonar unit standing straight up.

There are no legitimate excuses for that ! If one does not know his/her limits, adjust or have someone else drive . That kind of stupidity is not limited to a " 12 inch screen and double boat seats "

I know hindsight is always 20/20 but don`t you think having an AIR HORN onboard may have made a difference here?I always keep one on my boat & fortunately I haven`t had to use it ,but it`s better to have and not need then to need and not have. coolio

Yep. . . I’ve got an air horn very handy in my kayak. Ya never know.

I remember sitting on a brushpile at Texoma before lines in at a CAT event years ago and talking about what looked like a log or something floating across the lake. No lights and couldn’t see anybody moving in it. Not long after a bass boat blazing by ran it over. You could tell it was a kayak from the sound of the impact. The boat stopped and circled around and took off!! We went over there but didn’t see anybody or anything in fhe water. I think it just floated off of a dock somewhere and was drifting across the lake. Was scary to think somebody could have been paddling across the lake and got run over in the dark.

I remember going out on Joe pool Lake one Night during a new moon to fish a BP with my secret weapon green fishing light and almost hit a couple engaged in a sexual act on a Sail boat that had NO LIGHTS ON AT ALL!! Lucky for us I had pretty good night vision as a younger man & I wasn`t heavy on my screw because I don`t get on plane at night going across any lake. I just happened to see the silhouette of the sail against the Night sky& began to idle towards the boat and threw my flood lite towards it`s deck just in time to see them dressing at which time I gave them a few words and continued on my way!! Some people don`t need to be on a lake coolio 2cents

Holy Smokes!!! All involved were very lucky. I still don't understand how they didn't see y'all. Especially, with that T-top sticking in the air.
