 Fishing for Bass...caught a carp!

In my neighborhood retention pond, while fishing for bass with a fluke. My first was a nice 3lb+ Largemouth Female, and just kept walking down the bank and hooked what I thought was a monster Bass. Turns out to be a 10lb CARP hooked in the mouth on a watermelon candy weightless fluke....that was a heck of fight! It was ALL that my rod could handle with 15lb Fluoroclear Line.

Carp will grab lots of things to see if it is food. Sometimes they get the hook.  And they fight much harder than bass.
