The old guys that keep complaining about FFS just need to start up their own tournament series, simple as that. To qualify you must be over 60 and do not have FFS on your boat. Quit complaining about FFS, most of us are tired of hearing all the crying about it, and I am even in the 60's+ group and I like FFS.

The young guys do understand seasonal patterns, the learning curve is much faster nowadays- those guys insult the young guys by claiming the young guys don’t know anything.
Yep, the old pros “grew the sport” and gave these kids every piece of info available that they have learned. Now the youngsters are whooping the olds and . I have a buddy that’s 72 and we were have that exact conversation. I asked him to name 1 sport where a young man does not dominate it. They are faster, stronger, healthier and many are smarter/quicker thinking. He had to admit that I was right and that’s why they have a senior tour on the PGA. It’s just how life is. I’m sure we all remember when the following guys were young and whooped the olds butts: KVD, Horton, Remitz had some good years, Wheeler still whooping butt, Reese, etc….you get the point. It’s always been the younger guys that have taken over. (With exception of KVD)

... Another gratuitous bash threads by those triggered by an opinion different than theirs... Why are scopers so insecure???... Again... Scope em' if you got it, don't if you don't.... Just go fishing and and enjoy your day... Dan

I saw a reason why there are so many great young anglers with or without the new technology. I was at the Lake Fork Marina ramp waiting on my buddy to go fishing and I saw a boat I wasn't familiar with launching. It was an Avid Aluminum boat. I kept watching as they pulled away from the ramp heading out in front of me on the pier and I know this is more common these days but the person behind the wheel driving the boat couldn't have been maybe more than 10 or 12 years old with I am sure was his dad in the passenger seat. Now I got into bass fishing later than most at 38 years old before I had my first boat and relied on my 8 track tape recorder to see the weekly Bassmaster show and read magazine articles and you never saw a kid that age hardly fishing let alone learning to actually run a boat. And they have unlimited access to videos and information that were not around when I started so you are having kids with the bass fishing bug that they are putting so much time into it to get better and become tournament anglers. That is why you have the Trey McKinney's of the world that are established anglers with a desire to be the best. As far as completely replacing all older anglers that will never happen because you will still have to compete against those guys at every tournament and there are plenty of them around that can win any tournament they enter.

Gods knows I need FFS or maybe dynamite.....since I already own every lure made and still can't catch a darn fish. However, I am anything but a "Professional" fisherman. For guys like me, that can only spare a moment from working for a living to get on the water, FFS I guess would make fishing more rewarding.
That is of course, if you're happy to go directly from staring at your phone or computer 24/7 to staring at your FFS screen.
Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong?.....when I'm lucky enough to be on the water fishing, I spend a lot of time looking around at what us old folks used to call nature and imagining that a Bass might be laying next to that lay down.
Making a 100 consecutive casts at a fish you can physically see on a screen, until the poor fish (probably in self defense) attacks that bothersome lure, seems more like harassment than anything we should call "Professional".
Technology is great, but at some point it seems to always get out of hand. When the rest of you stop watching fishing tournaments on TV like I have, the FFS issue in a "Professional" setting will resolve itself.

It’s not as easy as you people think it is, you would never get “100 cast” at any fish. You wouldn’t get 2 cast at a fish. I’d be willing to bet that you wouldn’t even make a single cast to a fish.
