Not a surprise. Acting how he did. What did he expect? He pushed it.
If I publicly bad mouthed the place I worked I would expect the same thing Watson got. No way he didn’t think MLF would react. He looked for. A reaction. He got one.

Agree, Boyd may not be right but you don't do that to the boss and not get fired. Watson will do just fine for his sponsors over at NPFL, and honestly that organization is going to be a better fit for him in all ways.

I had heard him on a podcast in 2023 state that this would be his last year. He said the field had gotten smaller & knew his fishing wouldn’t cut the mustard.

Watson has now posted a short video response on his social media.
Maybe Big O Florida was a prophet. Says he needs everyone to support him by buying some “merch”….definitely a salesman pretending to be the little guy getting attacked.😆 I doubt he needs our support. He’s super wealthy outside of bass fishing. He might need us to buy merch but it’s not because he needs money. I mean, he could be needing some coin since he’s building a 7 figure mansion on table rock pretty close to his other 7 figure mansion on table rock lol.

I get I said employees, not what I meant- they still sign up and agree to represent the particular league they pay into in the best light possible. I bet Watson is right, he should just move on if he wants to bash instead of sticking around. He was not going to qualify next year anyway with the big cut in the field size and MLF changing their policies and field size in game. Watson isn't a millionaire because he is dumb, he knew how his "fishing boat docks" apparel would be misconstrued by certain individuals. It was basically a huge troll, though Watson has never said #FBD meant anything but "Fishing Boat Docks". Sometimes agitation and trolling is so entertaining when the person being trolled basically trolls themself.  Well said! I get that many on here have great disdain for BD and MLF/BPT. But If your employer has a code of conduct and you violate that code, repeatedly, you're subject to immediate termination for cause. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

I thought they were downsizing the field after this season... So in 18 months is MFL gonna open a spot for him to fish and try to requalify???... Or is this just a lifetime ban without saying it???... Dan

I never realized Watson or any other angler was (employed) by Ducket. I'm sure they did sign some type of agreement to abide by said rules but never realized that made him their employer.
