You don’t get to bash the company you work for, I’m sure it was a rule violation. I’ve got no problem with him bashing mlf, but you need to quit if you’re going to do it.

He doesn't/didn't work for MLF. He was a customer.

You could see this coming from a mile away. He has been unhappy with their "management plan" for a while. The reality is James makes a lot of money doing lots of different things. He doesn't need fishing for income in any way. So he has the freedom to say whatever he wants. They obviously don't like that. This wasn't a matter of if it was going to happen. It was just when.

I'm sure that suspension is not the least little bit personal.... grin

And FBD isn’t personal?

You don't think he had a good reason to take it personal? I know you are a huge MLF fan but at least look at the big picture of it all. Lime it or not it's gonna be another bad PR hit to them.

I’m actually not a huge fan, this season I’ve been watching bass stuff and have lost some interest in mlf. What he did was just tacky. I get it Boyd is probably a full litany of 4 letter words but James could be the better man.

"Pros" are not employees, they do not work for MLF or BASS.They do not receive benefits from their leagues. They pay to compete, they are customers who pay the leagues a lot of money to compete and who also attract sponsors to the space that in turn pay the leagues as well.

The attempts by the anglers to organize and have a say in the way business is conducted have all failed because both the leagues and the anglers know that there are many broke replacements that will do anything to be a "pro fisherman" and replace the ones that want a fair shake.

Sadly, the MLF was sold to the anglers as a league that was angler owned and angler controlled. The truth is it is controlled by a select few anglers and the rest have to walk on egg shells and do not have a right to express their personal opinions without being singled out and "punished". Yet, unethical behaviors up to what may be considered flat out cheating, are quietly dealt with behind hte scenes because the ones doing them are the cash cows making the MLF bosses a lot of money.

The spirit of the PAA was truly where pro fishing should have evolved and I think some involved with MLF wanted that until they figured out it was more profitable personally to have a few control all others.

I get I said employees, not what I meant- they still sign up and agree to represent the particular league they pay into in the best light possible. I bet Watson is right, he should just move on if he wants to bash instead of sticking around.

He was not going to qualify next year anyway with the big cut in the field size and MLF changing their policies and field size in game. Watson isn't a millionaire because he is dumb, he knew how his "fishing boat docks" apparel would be misconstrued by certain individuals.

It was basically a huge troll, though Watson has never said #FBD meant anything but "Fishing Boat Docks". Sometimes agitation and trolling is so entertaining when the person being trolled basically trolls themself.

I agree with all that, everyone knew what he was doing that’s why I can’t believe people act outraged that he got cut loose.
