Personally I think there are a few that wish they never left BASS. We know Bobby Lane, Ish and the other ones in the opens last year wish that. But what about Faircloth every year he either won an event or was in contention a couple times and now pretty irrelevant. Some are awesome at this format (DC, Wheeler, Alton Jr.) so it surely benefited them. I think Dakota would be good in any format but would excel at BASS. The one guy who could never do much at BASS but seems to always be good in format now is Greg Vinson. Guy always near top in MLF but not BASS. So it seems to fit some and some not.

I would call that an anomoly - I think the more correct way of stating it is that is Bobby Lane, after leaving BPT failed to requalify for the Elites so went back to BPT instead of trying a 2nd year in the EQ's. I understand it, he's got bills to pay and familty to support etc like everyone else. Still, not a fan of the flip flop.

Because he’s a bank beater and knew he wouldn’t qualify for the elites. Took the easy route to please his sponsors.

If it wasn't for FFS he would have made it easily, look at all the scopers ahead of him, he was 1 spot and 23 points out. Go watch the last day of the Opens last year, Bobby puts on a casting clinic up shallow in the hay grass, meanwhile the video game kids cast to dots out in the abyss to beat him, https://youtu.be/xmx3TvZ2BgY?si=n6gJ-3jgveTwzgiR&t=12900 May be the closest we see an old school guy to making the Elites ever again unless there are rules changes.

I'm guessing that all the MILF/ FLW/ BPT (did I miss any of their monikers?) pros are rethinking their decisions... I think all the old BASS pros like Skeet, EE, and DeFoe and others will just ride BPT into the ground then fade off into the sunset... Dan

Most have done well financially and that is ultimately what a job is about, making a living. You rarely hear about BPT guys going broke or making videos about how it's not fair that they do not get sponsors.

So I am going to say the ones that regret it are the ones you see that have left and are attempting a comeback or have made a return to BASS.

Why do "fans" act like this is a fight for life? BASS vs MLF boxing loco

It's just fishing, dumb stupid fishing.
