Does the update improve the 360 view as well?

@outdoordude You should be very happy with it. Just note if you don’t already know, known issue with Certain ML ducers, where it gets bad interference from the trolling motor post update. So take pictures of the interference so you can send to HB, they will ship you a new ducer. In any event the update quality is as good as the lvs32, or at least 95% as good. If I wasn’t such a FFS pig and didn’t feel the need for both I’d be okay with keeping either one at this point. I don’t have the lvs34 yet, so can’t speak to it. I’m sure the 34 is better, and I’ll try it soon enough.

I have 100's of hours with a garmin 32 and 34 and the Megalive. Garmin is better, but not that much better. Plus if you already have a helix or above you just need the ducer. Much simpler.

I do agree on the "best" and if there were no price limits, I would have two 8616s with a 62 for forward and 34 for persecutive. laugh

Don’t forget a 34 on each side of your jack plate and 4 graphs at the con. 😂

Theres a reason they dont show Mega Live on Bassmaster Live. Every Humminbird I saw was on 360.

I've had ML since it came out. I was even on the waiting list. It's been a trip but after the last update i can see my 1/8 jighead out to 80 feet though sometimes I only see the spashdown. Whe that happens I turn on persistence ans then I can see the little trail my lure is making. Surface clarity is still blah at certain angles of the sun in stained water less then 10 feet deep but I was in dirty 6 feet of water the other day and could see perfectly so I dunno what to think sometimes. But I love it for sure. I have mine on a giant 15 inch Helix too. Better for my neck.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

Start with the default settings and adjust for the conditions where you are when you are there. Learn what the settings do not what the setting numbers are--adjust as needed + or -, whatever it takes. It's pollen season so just that will screw up the performance until that is over regardless of the brand of FFS.

My sensitivity is usually around a 12 and my Contrast is usually around 6-8.

I tpyically start with both on a 10. I then lower contrast and use the lowest contrast setting without too much noise on the screen.

I will use the lowest sensitivity setting I can get away with while still being able to see my lure. I find if sensitivity is too high, it can be harder to see fish in cover.

I'm far from an expert on it, but this has worked the best for me.
