If you have Walmart+, you can scan your items as you put them into the basket and then pay using the card on your account and go.
Self-checkout is so easy, I don't get the hate. The only time I really don't like it is when I'm buying my sweet potatoes at Fiesta. I buy around 25 pounds most of the time and if you have more than one bag of similar items (it takes 5 to 6 of those produce bags to get to that weight), then the employee has to come over and allow it. I just tell them to stand by and get done. Other than that, I prefer self-checkout. How many lbs of sweet potatoes you eat a week?

They have been a staple of my diet for over 13 years, but only in this large amount for the last 2 years. I usually eat 1 or 2 at lunch and the same for dinner. Love the dang things.

Only problem i have is there is not much room to checkout at Walmart's in Denton . Receipt checkers are just drawing a check , most of the time you can't read it . Biggest problem at the Walmart on the Loop is can't find anything , some big shot decided to move ever thing .

Pilferage is such an issue at some Walmarts that they are returning to only manned check out stations.

I think there ought to be a 10% savings when you use self-checkout. I save a headache by not dealing with some bad attitude checker that has the intelligence of a fly.

I dont like when they check your stuff at the door when leaving. Ill be a little rude, ill say "do your thing" and not help them search through the stuff I just paid for When the WalMart door cop says "can I see your receipt?" I wave it at him and walk out. When I used the WalMart self checkout last week am employee saw me give them a 1 star. She said "only 1 star". I said yep it has been over a month since you had any small Hershey bars.

They eliminated a job, forced me to do my own checkout and raised their prices. Something doesn't add up.
If they offered a discount for "do it yourself", I might consider it. Otherwise, I don't like using SC.
