Which anglers are you talking about?

Sorry, I should've said Top 30 for MLF. Look at the names below 30th place.

At the BASS event on Fork it was eye opening how many of the top anglers in the world didn't make Top 50 cut.

That damn devil box on the front of boats has turned the game upside down

I don’t think it was the lack of free, it was just the assumption they stuff would be at a slight discount

And the problem with that is?

I like to preface my comments with I'm new(ish) to hobby bass fishing and enjoy watching some pros in rainy days while i rig poles or play with my kid around the house. I do not have old vs new ingrained in me or yet or bass vs mlf. I can see now why every fish counts sucks though. There is zero chance for a big come back. Once a guy is on a hole of dinks and has 18 fish its near impossible for the guy with 3 to come back.

It seems with biggest 5 at any point someone can snag a 6-7+ lber and be right back in it. With 30 minutes left you could cull out 2x 3 lbers for 2x 6 pounders and come back from 10th to 1st.

Maybe I'm wrong as this was only my 2nd time watching every fish counts but it makes for a very boring final round in my opinion.

I saw Berkley had 4 for 15 on soft plastics - That seems like a great deal as academy has them for 7 bucks each.

I like the 5 fish weight much better than the every 2 lb'ers counts. It just a different view or approach to fishing. Fun fishing to me is how many I can catch to have fun, tournaments fishing is who has the biggest 5 fish limit.

You must not get out much these days. People are wanting everything for free. In this case though, they probably should be giving out free stuff. They don't want fans at any other event so enticing them to their flagship event, that is always strategically scheduled 1-2 weeks before the Classic, is not a bad idea.

Does anyone know attendance numbers for these? Redcrest (to me) moves the needle about as much as the NPFL Championship, but I'm not as in tune as I once was.

It’s not really that different- Connell had a nice 5 fish limit as well.

Connell is on the water 24-7 learning all the new electronics, The guy is a magician. Period. He may be the best at FFS but also as he has proved a few years ago he can catch them without it. Hey look if you give guys a new tool in bass fishing and you don't master it or at least try to you will be left behind. Connell is a present day hammer. Congrats to him.

I agree Dustin is one of the better anglers out there. He can fish just about anywhere and be near the top.
