Anyone know if it's possible to launch a 20 foot fiberglass boat on the ramp at Stubblefield? Never been there but thinking about a quick camping trip this week. I only have a 2 wheel drive truck and Google says it's a dirt boat ramp. Never been there, just trying to get some info. Heard the crappie fishing can be good up there!

I wouldn`t suggest it! Cagle is a much better launch Ramp w/2 concrete lanes & courtesy dock. Crappie fishing is good but the Blue Gill fishery is AWESOME!! coolio

What bait do you use for the bluegill? We would like to go up there to avoid the crowds on lake conroe.

Thanks for the info!

I've lived in Conroe for a couple of years now but am always traveling during the spawn. Where on Lake Conroe is good to fish from the banks/docks for Crappie?

The Stubblefield boat ramp is all new and concrete now since they built the new bridge.
The trouble is its a very shallow ramp. You need a long low trailer to get your boat off.
I have a 20ft Kenner and cannot do it.
Its shallow and you need to back a long ways. a tall truck would help as well.
