3rd Annual

“POPS” Open



Our Bass club will be hosting a open on Granbury- 80% payback to help grow our club and championship. We fish 12 tournaments a year from Oct-Sep with a top 10 championship at the end of the year. The winning team will also get free membership.

4-6-24
Granbury
Rough Creek Park
7-3pm (Last cast at 3pm must be in line by 330pm) registration from 6-645a
5 fish all state laws apply- 1lb dead fish penalty 1lb short fish penalty

$100 team tournament (can fish solo) with optional $20 big bass- 80% payback and 100% big bass payout
1-9 boats 2places 70-30
10-19 Boats pay out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. (50%, 30%, 20%)
20-29 Boats pays out 1st - 4th. (40%, 30%, 20%, 10%)
30 + Boats pays 1st - 5th. (35%, 25%, 20%, 15%, 5%)

All winners subject to a polygraph

Just had a local tell me he thinks it is possible to see a 30lb bag for this open. Anyone else familiar with the big G think that is possible?

Dead fish floating north of 377 to rough creek on Sunday. Looks like the golden algae bloom.

It goes on south of there, I have seen them all the way to decordova, I think this will be a bad round of GA

I just got a text from a guy down there that now there are dead fish all over the south end. Just an fyi

i was there last Saturday. dead fish floating from the river to the dam. lots of big catfish, striper, sandies, crappie and millions of shad

Fish should be easy to chase down and scope, the ones that aren't dead will the lethargic from the golden algae bolt

there were only a couple of areas that i could find bait and fish around them. i fished from the dam to about a mile up the river.
