Recent rains and warm temperatures have the carp on the move. Fish are actively feeding along the shore. Buffalo are also jumping and rolling. I have been able to pick up several on my carp slayer fly, including a nice 29” fatty.

The fish above are unusually dark on the back. In the water they look black.

I've seen that on the flats as well. Some are so orange they look florescent in the water. Then, some are so dark, I've mistaken them for Drum. I don't know why that is but it makes thing interesting.
