There is an entire generation that will never know a time when you were able to regularly watch the Rangers, Mavericks, and Dallas Stars without a subscription service of some kind-
That is all, carry on-
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

There is also an entire generation that will never know why anyone would want to watch any Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, and Dallas Stars games.
That is all!

On a similar note There was a lot of Atlanta Braves fans because they could watch a game every night on TBS, That was in the 90's and early 2000s. My uncle was one of them.

If you really want to confuse them, tell them you had to switch the TV to channel 3 to play video games.

It’s challenging to find out of state baseball and football games on the radio these days….we’ve gotten so good at monetizing all broadcasts.
Did they keep the games in Spanish on Univision, or is that gone as well?

Me too……of course I was born and raised there too I have an Atlanta story kind of- I’m flying to Atlanta mid April for another amputee convention thing, the last day of our conference is on Saturday, we as a group are attending a Braves game- Amputees are coming in from all over the country, but the Braves are playing our Texas Rangers that night- Just thought it was a cool coincidence, to go there to watch the Rangers play- I’ve only driven through Atlanta before, never stayed and visited- Dognot, was your uncle a player?

Both WW2 vets. Loved football and Baseball games. And spending time with each other and family.

Harry is primarily remembered for his Cubs broadcasts but before that he handled Cardinals and then White Sox games. His broadcasts from the outfield stands at Comiskey Park on a summer day were greatness, especially after several Falstaffs had kicked in around the sixth inning.

If you have any free time and are interested I could take you somewhere local for lunch one day. I work at the airport

I used to watch the Astros and Rockets when they were on broadcast TV. I have not watched a single game on cable.
