This is my son, a fire fighter that stands 6’5” and weighs in around 260. That’s a 600hp outboard (1 of 4) on the back of a 53’ HCB off shore fishing rig…$3.5M. Dallas Boat show was ok. 1300 pound motor that stays pointing strait back. The lower unit swivels for the boat to be able to turn. It does not look like its taking off other than to monster boats where 400 hp is not enough.
The 400 hp V10 is supposed to be a great motor and only 700 pounds.
