I was wondering where would be a good place to view the solar eclipse in April between Bonham & Paris? Its passing right over Clarksville and Bogata. Its going to be in the south so make sure you don't pick a spot with anything that restricts your vision in that direction.

Cool, also I was just thinking that Lake Fannin might be a good option? Lakes in the path could be a good idea, it could also be a cluster....

Ennis is the epicenter of watching the eclipse. Fish on Steezes lake, trample bluebonnets, go to Bristol cafe with Derek, watch the eclipse, Going to be interesting to see everyone try and pack into that town for the event.

Bonham or Paris should be pretty good. I live in Greenville. We are in the 100% path. The City is putting together a thing in downtown together with some the restaurants and bars and hotels.

I’m right beside ennis- Sitting on 20 acres- I already ordered a bunch of glasses from amazon- If the weather is good I may have an opportunity here, if the ground isn’t dry I have a bunch solar watching glasses for the next eclipse- I don’t want a bunch of wahoo’s stuck in the mud-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

I would normally be turkey hunting the first weekend in April. I hunt in NW Burnet County. I have decided I am not going any where near the mess that is suppose to happen in the hill country. Bell County declared an emergency but have not heard of others.

I’ve been constantly reminded that I should not stare straight at the eclipse, which is handy info to be made aware of, because I had planned on staring right at it……….
