Lets go back to bank fishing with cane poles. That’s how the “OG’s” did it. Catch cook and clean 20 of em’ at a time, no length restrictions…that’ll teach em’.

There’s fishing, and then there’s deep diving crankbaits…ban them and bring back the Creek Chub Wiggle Fish, I tells ya! Weird post to start the thread.
Why stop with FFS?
Let's limit horsepower to 25, do away with bow mounted trolling motors, go back to 5' long steel rods, eliminate electrotonic depth finders, and prohibit soft plastics. You couldn’t catch a cold if you had to use anything above. That’s why you’re bothered and you know it

And like I'll hopefully do again should I continue to wake up in the mornings and not succumb to the Big Sleep.

Let’s let FFS set the precedent for advancing other sports..
MLB- let the hitters know what pitches are coming and see who hits them furthest
NFL- let offenses now what defenses are on each play and see who scores the most points
Golf- allow triple oversized drivers and corrective irons and see who can Eagles every par 5
Hockey/Soccer- let’s eliminate the goalie so more goals are made
Wouldn’t this be great!!! LOL, And while we're at it.....let's require all hunters to wear blindfolds and just spray bullets into the woods hoping they hit something! The flaw in your logic is that all of the sports you listed already allow the players to SEE the action. All FFS does is allow an angler to SEE the action!

I think really what we are talking about is tournament fishing with FFS. The way we have cashed checks in the past be it local bass club or the Elites no longer gets it done as well as it used to. The blue fleck power worm crowd ain’t winning a thing anymore. If you just want to go fish and have fun no one is stopping you. But to compete is another matter. When the bite gets tough the FFS crowd will shine. Makes one wonder what the weights would have been at Fork this past week had there not been FFS involved. BASS is already looking at ways to limit it somehow, they have even formed a committee to gather data on it. It’s an interesting time we live in and there’s more coming if you believe the rumors. The ability to lock on a fish and the graph will follow it automatically with the trolling motor is being developed heck it may already exist. Buckle up my friends we are in for a bumpy ride.
