Ok, so I am currently running one Lowrance screen with Active Target, and no I’m by far an expert with it. The question I have for you is what would be the next step in moving forward in the electronics game? Would you prefer to add one more FFS running a different mode or maybe adding mega 360? Please tell me what you guys think

I run one transducer in forward mode and one in perspective mode for my Livescope on the trolling motor. I love how it works. I'm sure forward mode and a 360 would be good as well.

To me it's more about if you are a side scan guy then I'd say add the 360. If you're not great at side scan then I'd add a 2nd forward facing unit.

I've never actually seen a Mega 360 run. I had a tournament partner that was going to show me what it did one day but it died and would not come on. I guess its like a rotating version of side scan? The only current data as at the line that runs across the screen?

The only current data as at the line that runs across the screen? It is a rotating Side Imaging transducer. It does 360 or Side Imaging, but not at the same time. It records history just like Side Imaging, not real time like FFS. https://youtu.be/0fxAfZ1IGjohttps://youtu.be/P5APoyRsD5I

Guys, there are so many threads about FFS it's actually comical actually ridiculous. Look if you do or don't have it does it stop you from fishing? I do have it and actually suck at using it except for crappie fishing. I am one that still believes in my own ability to put a few fish in the boat. If you are mad at the new generation scopers you have 2 choices, get better at it or don't fish tournaments. Basically it's another tool in the tackle box. I've had my teeth kicked in at Rayburn and Toledo by the younger guys using it but I don't gripe because I know those guys have invested the time to figure stuff out. When I enter a tournament now (being over 50) I know most likely I am fishing for 10th back trying to cash a check, or I can choose not to fish - It's all on me. this bashing stuff is really getting old. I would rather see what's going on on all the Texas lakes, whose catching what etc. (whether FFS or not) than to keep looking at the forum and every article is something to do with FFS. Guys here's the deal lets go fishing period. Do or Don't like FFS just go fishing.

So a man asking for opinions on if he should add a 2nd FFS unit or a 360 unit made you go off on a rant like that? I personally have no issue with a guy asking for opinions. Possibly you commented on the wrong thread.

I have Livescope and just ordered a Mega 360 the other day. I'll find out next week if I wasted more money or not.

I have both. The 360 is useful, but I'm just not good enough with it. I stare at livescope way more. A 2nd unit in perspective would've been better for me personally. I'm sure there are tons of folks who love the 360 livescope combo together. I do really like 360 for finding laydowns and rock piles really fast.

360 compliments the live and the image is way more clear then landscape mode on any of them. But you have to know what your looking at as well. That takes practice and time on the water.
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

360 isn’t that hard. I use it to basically draw a picture of everything around the boat while fishing. It will show cover and structure with much more detail than FFS perspective mode. I have found many rocks and lay downs I didn’t know were there with 360. It has helped me catch fish. Basically I use 360 to see the area around me and then I use the Livescope to determine if the fish are home and active. Now if you are a haul [censored] power fisherman 360 may not be as important. You can speed it up but you lose detail at the fastest speeds but for checking out an area quickly and getting a good look at what is around you it is a great tool.
