The fact that the Ford Explorer didn`t hold its value anymore that that would make me never buy another Ford product. Even with that many miles is ridiculous. Thats why I driven Hondas since 1996.

The warden drives a 2009 RX350 with 120,000 or so miles on it. It had the 100,000 mile maintenance done on it recently, she won't part with it luckily. angel

no doubt.

Sounds like it has a transverse mounted engine. Those are a pain to get at the AC, alternator and water pump.

Not to mention the whole front of the motor needs to come apart.

I had an ac blend actuator go out and the dealer quoted me $1500 to fix. Bought the part for $60 and replaced it myself in 2 hours.

if you ever need a pickup you would do good to buy ford.

have owned all 3 domestic brands (sorry rice burners) and gm sucks for lying, dodge has the/discount performance, ford now has longevity and performance.

show me the specs. actual performance of the 5.7 gm, 5.7 (or whatever it is) hemi to the 5.0 coyote (closest ford has).

some models may suck but overall, ford rules right now. imo

The wife has her second Lexus RX350. About 60k miles on it now. It has the V6 instead of the 4 cylinder they stick in them now. Normal driving, for us, gives 23.6 mpg.

It doesn’t cost $5K to replace a Ford Explorer water pump.

se buy a new max sized suv every few years, loaded out all the latest and greatest

For basically the same vehicle as the 2020 that we have now, the 2024 is $90K or so eeks

The price has increased substantially in 4 years.

If you voted for Ole Burden, thanks!

We have an entire fleet of Explorers. The problem is, the water pump is inside the timing chain cover. Incredibly stupid design. It's a beating to replace.
