I’m really thinking about getting the Echelon. The online reviews seem promising. Anyone here own one and what are your thoughts?

It would mostly just be my range gun for banging steel. It’s to big to carry.

I'm pretty much a S.A. fan. This pistol looks really nice . . . lotta good features. Only drawback is it comes only in the smaller female caliber.

Disclaimer . . . I did just get my first 9mm in a Shadow Systems MR 920 Foundation and so far been good. Built in Plano. Give them a look. Very comfortable pistol to carry and shoot.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

Any FTF for you with the shadow systems? I wanted one but passed because of some reviews.

Female caliber… roflmao

“ 9mm, strong enough for a man, but made for a woman. “…

I have one 9mm, a G19 and the price is right for the cartridge…1911’s are reserved for 45 or 10mm, I wouldn’t spend that much for a 9mm… S.A. make great products, value for money spent.

The Foundation series is about the same price point as the Echelon. Shadow in general is probably a better gun, but if I were going that route I’d get the Elite which costs a few hundred more.

Female calibers, made me laugh.
I have a 40 and 10mm that I like to shoot and hunt hogs with. Those are my semi autos, the 44 mag and 41 mag are my go to revolvers for hogs and other animals.

You all be careful with your female caliber guns, you might get hurt, lol.

My range keeps selling them as soon as they get one. That and the Ruger American Gen2. They are hard to find.

carried a sauer .357 (pre sig) in navy colt single action when I started guiding, excellent pistol but single action, not a good idea if you need multiple shots fast I found out.

2 yrs in I upgraded to .44 s&w mag. 6"/629, friend loaded hot loads for me for back up rounds. never had to find out if they were enough but they would pierce a 350 block at 50 yds.
both sides.

Everything I've heard about them indicates that it's a legit shooter. YMMV

If I can find an excuse to miss work I will do that. I love my Glock 23 with the Lone Wolf barrel. It has started throwing the casings over my head instead of into my forehead. I want a full frame gun for shooting steel instead of the smaller frame of the 23. I practiced with my Canik tonight using the Mantis and am now wondering why I moved away from it. Maybe I just need trigger work with the Glock?

See if somebody that has bought one will let you shoot theirs. Buy them lunch or a box of shells. slinger

I like Springfield a lot but wouldn't buy this pistol though.

Their 1911 Prodigy is super slick. It's on my hit list.

The prodigy is a great looking gun. What is your beef with the echelon?
