Have to agree with Grandbass . . . the shootout scene in Heat is just beyond. May be that I'm kinda a gun nut but the report of the gunfire is just beyond. Only movie that I'll actually turn the sound system volume way up, just for those scenes.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

A movie that would have been great with modern movie Tech would have been Bullet with Steve McQueen.

Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun, and Days of Thunder are a few. We have the Laser Discs and often watch/listen to them at our shop on an old Pioneer/Sony home theatre with Bose AM-7’s - state of the art circa 1980…

Benny and Joon was one of the best test tracks ever…audio and visually state of the art. Imaging Science Foundation used to use the tracks from this movie as a reference. The movie kinda sucked….but it was a very good test track.
