I’ve caught 3 overs out of Fork but that was back during the 14-21 slot days. I’ve yet to catch an over @ 24 but that being said; I just started fishing Fork about two years ago after taking a 20 year hiatus. I’m not even sure Fork even needs a slot limit. The state of Louisiana took the slot limit off Caney Lake a few years ago mainly because all there surveys showed almost every fisherman was doing catch and release anyway. Fork is the same deal.

Why, it is always fun catching healthy slots, hauling them around in a stuffed livewell would be Forks demise.

Why would you want to change something that is working????? Yea, i would rather see more lakes get the same slot put on it and possibly make some exceptions for bigger tournaments. Could you imagine what toledo or rayburn would put out if they had a slot...

Could you imagine what toledo or rayburn would put out if they had a slot... well, they tried "exceptions" on Fork for the pro's once. resulted in the parks & wildlife being sued by the newly formed lake fork sportsman association. the results were the slot applied to everyone. seems they wanted the pros to take the slot fish in for photo ops and weigh in. but the little boy could not take a slot fish in to show his grandma.

14-24 seems to be working well. Full pool will help these spawners too. The vegetation & brush/trees in the water that hasn't been there in years past due with tlake down is a bonus.

for tournaments fishing the slots sucks but look at how many 7 to 10 lbers were caught this weekend. It shows it works. Man I need to learn livescope better
