 Blanco River Pending Rainbow Trout Record!

Huge Congratulations to Dale LeBoeuf of San Antonio TX on catching a record Rainbow Trout this morning. Dale and a good friend of his were fishing the Blanco River when all of a sudden one HUGE Rainbow Trout bit on his Gold Super Duper Lure. The fight was on. Dale was able to catch a 21.50 inch Rainbow Trout with a certified weight of 3.06 Lbs. The current record for the Blanco River Rainbow Trout is 1.64 Lbs caught back on 2018. Paper work was completed and will be sent to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. for their review on Dale's record catch. Weighing a record Rainbow Trout caught by a very good angler. Impressive rainbow! Anyone have any speculation or ideas on if this fish was stocked this season at that size or a carryover possible in the Blanco from a prior year?

Impressive rainbow! Anyone have any speculation or ideas on if this fish was stocked this season at that size or a carryover possible in the Blanco from a prior year? It was stocked this season! The only trout that have a good chance to survive are the ones that are stocked in the Guadalupe River at the Canyon Lake Trail Race. You can catch trout year around in that area.
