Nice! I am surprised there is any water above the lake in the river, can you share where you were able to access the river up there?

We were in a boat. You can access the area from the Tejas Park trail. It’s about a mile and a half hike on an improved path. There are no facilities at the boulder area and you have to carry all your stuff in and your fish on the way back. Weekend will be a little crowded. Good luck!
