Anyone else noticing the intensity of this years migration? Have seen thousands upon thousands the last few days. Like they are all coming at once and are in a hurry to do so. This usually lasts a few weeks but it can't at this pace.

There won't be another frost with these numbers, maybe close but not a hard one.

Can we all agree that winter is over?

There are parts of several of them in my freezer. They won't be making the trip this year.

I suspect this is not the winter migration (north to south), this is spring migration as they head back north.

I love to eat duck, but I'll stomp over a hundred yards of duck to get at a sandhill.

one of the few things I enjoyed while living two years in Brownfield Tx. Crane hunting was great.

Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's an EMP!

I had over 100 grey rags to use as decoys , big flocks would totally ignore my spread . Small groups of a dozen or so would come in.
Compared to doves , they looked like Cessnas on the final flight pass.
